on 9/3/2009Thing is - optimizing a large website for mobile devices means exploding development costs. You need to have extra developers, parallel development branches, a huge amount of devices to test against etc etc. I remember the times working on studies for mobile devices - having a huge universe of Tréos and other hand-helds around me :)
The non-mobile web is a pretty much inhomogeneous environment - but the mobile web even tops that without a blink. Nevertheless - yep - serious platforms can't get around this...
