Join the movement to kill IE6 once and for all!

As any web developer will tell you, working with IE 6 is one of the most difficult and frustrating things they have to deal with on a daily basis, taking up a disproportionate amount of their time. Beyond that, IE 6’s support for modern web standards is very lacking, restricting what developers can create and holding the web back.

on 9/8/2009You Sir are speaking my mind! I have been in IE6-8 optimization for several years for a large German advertiser while originally being employed for securing the platform and infrastructure. I still waste hours over hours of implementing CSS tweaks, repositioning hasLayout -1 elements, float bugs etc etc. for IE7...
We concluded to exclude IE6 from being able to navigate AdvIN - although we even had the first users mourning about that.
The biggest issue with IE in general is user security. It is simply not possible to make sure an account cannot be stolen by attackers in case the user surfs with IE6. This browser is broken beyond fix. I cannot understand why several companies still forbid their employees to upgrade... (okay - sytsem policies, 15k+ machines to upgrade - that's some money you have to spend)
I am pretty sure Brad you have a plethora of IE6 adventures to tell about too... :)
