In order for the Services to function properly, Workube must collect and process certain Personal and Company Data in the course of the registration process, including your email address and password. Your password and/or your email address are personal to you and will never be provided to any other Member or User at any time. Workube will not disclose, sell, lease or otherwise provide your password and/or your email address on to any third party, unless it is legally required to do so.
In the course of registering for the Services, you will need to provide some additional Personal and Company Data, including your first name, last name, address, position (title), company name, company website, company email address, industry and the country, state and city of your company.
Users can access the following information without restriction: your first name and last name, position (title), company name, industry and the country, state and city of your company.
You can choose whether to make the following information available to Users: your business telephone number and your company telephone number.
At your option, you can also provide additional information about yourself and your company apart from the mandatory data on a voluntary basis (hereinafter referred to as "Discretionary Data"). Making these disclosures will other Members to better understand and get to know you and your company and may encourage them to choose you and your company as an appropriate business contact. You are able to choose from the following personal Discretionary Data: your background, business sectors you have worked in, your particular expertise and your language skills. You may also upload a photograph of yourself.
Company Data includes the following: founding year, personnel, annual sales volume, business hours, company category, business sectors, specialty groups, languages, philosophy & competitive advantages, networks and partnerships, awards, additional branches, and other information.
The Discretionary Data you choose to provide to Workube is accessible to all Users, unless you choose to make it unavailable.
The following sections of the Personal and Company Data you have made available to Workube is visible to all Users:
first name, last name and position
company name, industry and the country, state and city of your company
All Users may access your Pages and view the information displayed on the Pages, including such Discretionary Data you have specified to be made available to all Users.
If you “follow” any Members on Workube, these Members are then saved in your Pages on a "following" list. Unless a Member blocks you from their Page, this Member shall be listed as a "follower". Other Members may only ever view your list of your follower and those Members you follow.
The following personal statistics about you are visible to all Members at all times: the number of your followers, the number of Members you follow, the number of your co-workers and the month and year of your membership.
On your Pages you will find a so-called activity meter . This meter indicates whether you use the Services regularly, but it does not show any details about the way or the times you use the Services. The activity meter is intended as an indication for other Members to determine how often you use the Services so that the other Members can evaluate whether you will presumably react quickly to a request via the Services. You may choose to hide the activity meter at any time in your privacy settings under "Privacy."
Workube has provided an inbox on your Pages to invite other Members to leave private messages, if they wish to do so.
The default setting is that the inbox is displayed to all Users. You may change this setting at any time in your privacy settings under Privacy settings .
The default setting of your privacy settings is that all Members may send you private messages in order to establish contact with you. You may restrict the ability of Members to send you private messages at any time.
Different types of messages are visible in different ways:
You can change your privacy settings at any time under Privacy settings . You decide whether to increase your level of privacy or opt in favor of more visibility online, resulting in more or less exposure of your profile to potential business partners. Your default privacy settings are set to promote the networking aspects of the services. The data contained in your profile is visible to non-members of Workube and traceable by search engines on the internet. However, this does not include personal contact details such as email addresses.
On the Workube websites, Workube offers you the option of uploading your works, topics and available jobs (collectively hereinafter referred to as "Work"). With this function you may share and coordinate your work with other members and/or with non-members of Workube. Your work is visible to all Users.
As a member you can invite others to join Workube. Workube will process personal data collected in the course of the invitation solely for the invitation and shall not use it for any other purposes.
Please note that the following sections of your personal data are displayed to the recipient of the invitation: your photograph, the number of your followers, the number of members you follow, the number of your co-workers and the month and year of your membership
Workube uses cookies in order to identify you during the course of your session. a cookie (also known as a browser cookie, computer cookie, tracking cookie, web cookie, internet cookie, and HTTP cookie) is a small string of text stored on a user's computer by a web browser. Workube is not intended for use by children. Workube does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from anyone under the age of 13, nor does Workube knowingly solicit persons under the age of 13 to register. If you are under 13, please do not attempt to register for Workube or send any information about yourself to us, including your name, address, telephone number, or email address. No one under age 13 may provide any personal information to or on Workube. In the event that we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under age 13 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information as quickly as possible.
